Lucy visited Puren Fortress

Today Lucy visited a little town in our region called Purén. This city is known for being one of the areas strongly defended by Mapuche people. It was so difficult for the spanish soldiers and later for the "chilean government" to establish a village that they first created this fortress, but then in 1869 Mapuche warriors attacked it and killed all chilean soldiers in it...they were more than 100. It was a rainy afternoon but Lucy enjoyed learning a bit about our history.

On the road in winter
On the road, going back to Temuco, under a heavy rain and a gray sky, Lucy saw what is winter like in IX Region in Chile....but the rain started again!

On Sunday, it never stop raining so we couldn't work on our garden or go to the beach. Lucy had to see Queule through the windows in our house. She wondered how it looks like in summer...
